Testosterone is a male hormone that does more than promote a healthy sex drive but affects other factors in male’s health, including body fat, muscle mass, red blood cell count, bone density, and mood. Testosterone can be offered in various forms from patches, gels, injections, and pellets. Our offices proudly offer both injections and pellets.

The purpose of testosterone injections is to help regulate male hormone levels associated with low T. Testosterone will not enhance athletic performance and should not be used for that purpose. Testosterone injections are injected into the gluteal muscles in the buttocks and given every 7 days. While receiving this medication, you will need frequent blood tests.

Maintaining proper hormone levels is incredibly important for your health, especially as we age. Weight Loss MD is proud to offer bioidentical hormone replacement therapy from BioTE®, which is shown to be more effective than traditional synthetic methods. Based on your body and your goals, pellets are custom created with the hormones you need and then inserted into the fatty tissue beneath your skin. These pellets then dissolve, steadily releasing the hormones into your bloodstream.
